Industry Forum

Industry Forum Final Program

Industry Forum is a successful IES program where industry speakers address technology directions, products, and challenges to IES conference attendees; industry perspectives that need to be faced every day.  Industry Forum sessions will run during INDIN 2014 July 27th -30th hosted for the first time in Brazil, in Porto Alegre. The audience is mostly academic and industry researchers - and their students, having this conference typically 300-500 attendees.

This is an opportunity for Industry to both challenge researchers to focus their studies on the needs of industry as well as understand the practically of industry directions and products.

At INDIN this year, we have several topic areas to discuss in the Industry Forum sessions, including:

        •    Automation
        •    Smart Grid
        •    Embedded Systems for Oil and Gas
        •    Transportation Technologies
        •    Industrial Information Systems and Security
        •    Industrial Distributed Systems
        •    Designs Methods for Self-adaptive Industrial Systems
        •    Industrial Healthcare

Each speaker generally has 30 minutes to present on the topic area.  Speakers not also presenting research papers, are guests to the conference and may enjoy all events and interactions with the attendees. The speaker selects the content and style of presentation in their topic and there is no publication from the speaker. The audience is very interested where industry is moving and the challenges they see for the future.

The INDIN Industry Forum program offers benefits to both the conference attendees and the industry speakers as well as their companies.  Companies explain practical challenges they encounter in technologies and products utilizing Industrial Electronics areas. Attendees who are commonly from academia and industry research have the opportunity to scope research areas that may interest them and be valued by industry.   Cooperation between research and industry often results in with this exchange. In addition, exhibit space as well as other recognition is available to sponsors of the associated conference with the Industry Forum.

For this conference, we have an additional opportunity of an optional exhibition and/or sponsorship. A sponsor will have exhibit space as well as a choice of a recruiting presentation and candidate reviews.   Sponsorship fee is very low, starting at US$2000. Sponsorship is not required for an Industry Forum invitee.
Please consider this invitation. Feel free to contact us, the Industry Forum Chairs for additional information and understand the program.
